What is the LimeLight Facial?

LimeLight facial (IPL) treatments target skin redness, tiny veins, brown spots and sun damage.

This non-invasive light treatment procedure offers the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and damage from the sun. Limelight treatments are customized for different skin tones. The result is an exceptionally effective skin rejuvenation treatment to lighten dark sun spots and diffuse sun damage. Solar Lentigenes (or age spots) respond very well to treatment.

What areas can be treated?

The LimeLight Facial is ideal for any part of your body, but most commonly the face, neck and décolleté (neck and chest area), arms, and hands.

What does the treatment do?

Your ClarityMD physician can customize your LimeLight Facial to your skin tone and selectively treat the brown and/or red pigmented areas on your skin. These photo damaged areas will lighten and may even become undetectable.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend 4 treatments for the best results. You will likely see resulted after the first treatment.

What happens after the treatment and when will I see results?

Immediately following treatment and possibly up to a couple weeks, your already present brown spots (even those that may have been barely detectable) will start to darken. These will gradually flake off. The result is lightened or possibly resolved sun spots. Diffuse photo damage redness or telangiectasia will also be improved.

Will the spots and redness reappear over time?

With proper care, your results will be long lasting. Remember to always apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness. New brown spots, telangectasia and diffuse redness may appear with new or evolved sun damage, however they too can be treated.
